Venue for the Pathways conference

Here are a few pictures of the venue chosen for the Pathways conference (Sep. 14-18th, 2009), within the CosmoCaixa science museum in Barcelona. A presentation of the museum can be found here. It is located within 15mn (by direct subway) from Plaza de Catalunya which is the heart of the city, with many hotels, and which has a direct train connection to the airport.

Features of the venue are:
A 312-seat main auditorium — WiFi and power ports at all seats;
A 220-seat side auditorium that can be converted into a 120m2 poster room;
Two smaller rooms ("beta" and "gamma", 65 seats each) available for splinter sessions;
A press room, and a separate office;
Integration into the science museum and access to the exhibits;
Possibility to provide catered lunch nearby (there are not many restaurants nor hotels within the immediate proximity of the museum)

Those pictures were taken during a visit by Ignasi and Vincent on 17th July 2008 to select the venue, among the three sites proposed by the City of Barcelona.
